IT is lent season

Lent is a time of fasting and abstinence from certain foods, including meat, dairy, eggs, and fish. IT restaurant has enriched its plant-based menu and offers nutritious choices for a delicious fasting diet.
This year we enjoy traditional tarama dip, orso with octopus, skioufichta with basil pesto, coconut yogurt for breakfast to detoxify our bodies from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and carnival.

IT is green!

IT Restaurant, our favorite comfort food eatery in Kolonaki, which stands out not only for its delicious dishes but also for its environmentally friendly philosophy, has joined forces with Polygreen to introduce a new “green” takeaway and delivery kitchen in the north of Athens.

On Palaiologou 31, in Chalandri, a zero-waste culinary experience was created in an industrial hip space designed and curated by Studio Materiality. The welcoming open kitchen is fully active, serving healthy dishes for delivery, take away or self-service in its large outdoor veranda, reminiscent of a picnic area.

IT Chalandri joined Polygreen’s new program, Just Go Zero, which applies circular waste management, enabling the recycling and full utilization of the glass and coffee residues. The program is fully aligned with IT’s green approach to its kitchens, as stated by the team’s motto: “IT is the zero-waste movement! IT is time to act!”

While IT has spread its wings to new neighborhoods in the Capital, its values and food philosophy remain true to the original concept of fresh, healthy, delicious, and creatively “earthy” food. IT’s values consistently revolve around frugal and heartfelt extroversion, simplicity, honesty, solidarity, authenticity, integrity, respect, and high aesthetics. At the same time, the need to operate with social conscience, sensitivity and honesty towards each customer remain a top priority for every member of the IT team.

“Ninis Toasties & Paninis”: The new concept at IT Chalandri

The IT team also introduces its new food brand called “Ninis Toasties & Paninis”. Another food concept that operates with zero waste logic and sources the same IT raw materials in the green kitchen of Chalandri.

Delicious toasts and paninis in salty, but also sweet, versions that “intrigue” even the most demanding of us. Everything you need for brunch, light lunch or breakfast in hand. Choose between classics, signatures and sweets according to your preferences. For classics fans there are the following four options: Ham and Cheese with smoked pork ham, mozzarella and red onion chutney, Chicken Caesar with grilled chicken breast, bacon, corn, parmesan and handmade Caesar sauce, Caprese with fresh mozzarella, tomato, handmade basil and parmesan pesto and finally Chicken Cheddar Melt with grilled chicken breast, cheddar cheese, bacon and green pepper. The options in the Signatures category include: Halloumi Melanzana with grilled halloumi, grilled vegetables, sun-dried tomatoes and olives, Meatball Marinara with chicken patties, oregano tomato sauce and mozzarella, Truffle Melt with fresh spinach, mushrooms, black truffle bechamel, mozzarella and parmesan and Ventricina with brie cheese, marinated pear and spicy Ventricina salami.

It is hard to resist the sweet options from the list: apple Praline with apple, walnuts and hazelnut praline and Honey Manouri with manouri, thyme honey and sesame.
